Thank you for visiting my Baby Signs® Program Website. I am very excited to bring this program to the KW, Guelph, Cambridge and surrounding areas. I am thrilled at the prospect of meeting you and your families to introduce you to the wonderful world of communicating with your little ones through sign language!
I’ve been working in the Childcare field for almost 10 years and have loved every minute of it. Having earned my ECE diploma, I have tons of experience teaching and creating workshops as well as working with children and families of all ages. I have completed my Level 1 ASL course (American Sign Language) and am also the proud owner of my baby signing certificate.
When my 1st daughter was born in February 2009, my outlook on life and career completely changed. I am amazed at all the milestones and growth that we, as a family, are experiencing. Given the background I have as far as Child Development Education goes, having your own child is a whole different story! Now we get to enjoy the signing stage again with our 2nd daughter who was born in April 2012!
This is what led me to begin my search for my ‘new’ dream job. I fell in love with the Baby Signs® Program; Not only for all the research and benefits it has to offer so many families out there, but for a few personal reasons;
1) I want to teach my little girl to sign to help her better communicate with her Daddy and I.
2) My Grandmother was deaf and taught me to sign at a very early age. She passed away in 2007. Having been extremely close to her, when I came across the Baby Signs® Website, I knew I had found my new calling!!!!
I hope that you discover what the Baby Signs® Program has to offer you and your family. I am looking forward to meeting you all! Please feel free to contact me if you don’t see a program that suits your schedule or needs. I would love to be able to assist in teaching signs to your family. (find a class under the calendar tab)
